Job summary

Heywood Healthcare Inc. is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform two‑dimensional ultrasonic recordings of internal organs for physicians' diagnostic use. You will select equipment per exam specifications, explain the process to patients, and assist in positioning.

Records will be kept in the computer system and results discussed with the supervising physician. The role requires ARDMS registration, strong technical skills, and a focus on patient safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology or Radiology Technology.
• Previous ultrasound experience preferred or as determined by Manager.
• ARDMS registration in Ultrasound Technology required; AHA BLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assures ultrasound images are of optimum diagnostic quality.
• Follows image criteria and includes all required measurements and demographics.
• Operates diagnostic ultrasound processing and printing equipment for final images.
• Accurately enters orders and patient information into the Meditech system.
• Coordinates daily schedule and patient flow to ensure timely exams.
• Maintains a safe environment and adheres to care policies.
