Job summary

AdventHealth-Lenexa City Center is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for the Weekend Worker Program (nights). The role performs routine sonographic procedures, ensuring proper setup, patient comfort, and high-quality images for radiologist interpretation.

The candidate must hold ARDMS or equivalent registry and maintain required licenses. Duties include preparing worksheets, adhering to compliance standards, and collaborating with the radiology team to ensure patient care continuity.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of ultrasound physics.
• Knowledge of cross-sectional and vascular anatomy and Doppler techniques.
• Proficiency with radiology software and PACS.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office.
• Excellent patient care and communication across all ages.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• English language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams per orders and protocols.
• Verifies patient identity and exam appropriateness and gathers clinical history.
• Positions patients and equipment to obtain optimal images.
• Documents exam findings in EMR and PACS.
• Maintains infection control and safety procedures.
• Collaborates with radiologists for interpretation.
