Job summary

Lexington Health is seeking a skilled sonographer to operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment and communicate results to physicians and patients in an acute care setting. You will assist radiologists with invasive procedures and ensure patient safety across all age groups.

The role requires RDMS certification (or registry-eligible with a plan to obtain within a year) and BLS. Candidates should maintain CME requirements and collaborate with the care team to deliver high-quality imaging services.

Qualifications

• BLS certification or certification within 3 months of employment.
• RDMS certification required; must obtain RDMS within one year if not on hire.
• CME requirements maintained for specialty areas as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound examinations following department protocols.
• Communicate results to radiologists and patients.
• Ensure safety and well-being for all patients in the sonographic area.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment and work area; report equipment failures.
