Job summary

Medical Solutions Direct Hire seeks an Ultrasound Technologist in Creve Coeur, Illinois to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations. You will work with physicians and nurses to ensure accurate imaging and excellent patient care.

The role requires ARDMS and RVT certifications, BLS, and 1+ year ultrasound experience. Expect 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts in a staff position within a collaborative imaging team.

Qualifications

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) and Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) are required.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.
• Education: completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Sonography program.
• Experience: at least 1 year of ultrasound experience preferred (abdominal, pelvic, vascular).
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal/communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, pelvic, and vascular studies.
• Operate ultrasound and PACS systems; document in EMR.
• Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and supplies per hospital policy.
• Communicate effectively with patients to provide comfort and explain procedures.
• Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and notify providers of abnormalities.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.
