Job summary

Fauquier Health, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking an Ultrasound Tech to join our Medical Imaging team in Warrenton, Virginia. You will perform ultrasound studies across abdominal, OB, vascular, neonatal, pelvis, breast and testicular regions, and support the radiologist with accurate imaging and patient care.

Applicants should have an associate's degree in Ultrasound/Sonography or equivalent, ARDMS eligibility/licensure, current BLS, and state licensure.

Qualifications

• ARDMS registered or ARDMS eligible for new graduates.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• State license to practice ultrasound.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality ultrasound studies including abdominal, OB, vascular, neonatal, pelvis, breast, and testicular exams.
• Performs sonographic examinations as requested by the referring physician.
• Maintain supplies and a clean, orderly work area; notify supervisor when items are needed.
• Maintain equipment to ensure accuracy and longevity.
• Provide age-appropriate care to all patients.
• Serve as a consultative resource for scan accuracy and appropriateness.

How You'll Contribute

An Ultrasound Tech who excels in this role:

• Provides quality ultrasound studies to include abdominal, OB, vascular, neonatal, pelvis, breast, and testicular small parts for use by the radiologist in the diagnosis of patient illness.
• Performs sonographic examinations and procedures as requested by the referring physician delivery of care and services
• Maintains appropriate supplies and a clean and orderly work area. Notifies supervisor of needed items
• Maintains equipment to ensure accuracy and longevity
• Provides age appropriate care to all patients
• Acts as a physician/staff consultant and educational resource for appropriateness and accuracy of scans

What We're Looking For -

Applicants must have an associate's degree and be a graduate of approved program of Ultrasound/Sonography or equivalent

• ARDMS Registered or if new graduate, must be ARDMS eligible
• Basic Life Support certification
• State license to practice
