Job summary

Fauquier Health in Virginia is seeking a Cath Lab Tech for a day shift to support a fast-paced cardiac catheterization lab. You will provide direct patient care, monitor patient status, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safety and quality outcomes.

Required ARRT registration in Radiologic Technology and Basic Life Support. ACLS within 6 months of hire; CI or RCIS preferred for expanded responsibilities. Fauquier Health offers strong benefits and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Performs all aspects of patient care in a way that enhances safety and reduces errors.
• Formulates and revises an individualized care plan daily based on patient response.
• Monitors and communicates patient condition to the care team and family.
• Collaborates across disciplines for patient transfer, discharge, and referrals.
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstance.

How you'll contribute

• Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors.
• Ability to formulate an individualized plan of care, revise plan as indicated by the patient's response to treatment, and evaluation overall plan daily for effectiveness.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, provider, patient and family following chain of command as appropriate.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient protecting patient's rights.

What we're looking for -

Applicants should be ARRT registered in Radiologic Technology. CI or RCIS preferred.

• Basic Life Support certification is required
• ACLS within 6 months of hire
