Job summary

RadNet is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist in Murrieta, CA to perform high-quality ultrasound examinations and assist radiologists with biopsies as needed. You will monitor patient well-being, safeguard PHI and property, and maintain professional conduct with patients and staff.

Applicants should have completed an Ultrasound Technologist program with a diploma, passed the SPI exam, and hold ARDMS certifications or be Registry Eligible. BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Ultrasound Technologist program.
• Passed SPI exam.
• Current ARDMS certifications or ARDMS Registry Eligible preferred.
• Must have BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in accordance with department policy and procedures, complying with regulatory requirements.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures as needed.
• Understand methods to generate ultrasound data and operate the instruments that detect, display, and store acoustic information.
• Monitor patient well-being during exams and respond to discomfort or medical problems.
• Safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguard medications on site in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Demonstrate respect for company property including cash and patient financial information.
• Be responsive to others with professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Interact diplomatically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

You Will:

• Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in strict accordance with currently approved practices as outlined in department policy and procedure manuals, complying with all applicable federal, state, local and other regulatory requirements.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures if needed.
• Understand the methods used to generate ultrasound data and the theory and operation of the instruments that detect, display, and store the acoustic information generated in clinical examinations.
• Monitor patient's well-being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
