Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking an ultrasound technologist to perform OB/GYN, abdominal, and small parts exams. The role includes assisting the radiologist during invasive procedures and making clinical judgments from physician notes, medical records, and patient interviews.

Candidates should complete an ultrasound training program and be eligible for ARDMS registry, obtain ARDMS certification within 1 year, and have BLS certification on hire, with at least 1 year of ultrasound experience.

Qualifications

• Completed ultrasound training program and eligible for ARDMS registry examination.
• Within 1 year of hire, obtain ARDMS national certification.
• National Provider BLS certification by American Heart Association on hire.
• At least 1 year of experience as ultrasound technologist or intern.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of sonographic examinations (OB/GYN, abdominal, small parts).
• Assist radiologist during invasive procedures.
• Make clinical judgments based on referring physician notes, medical records, and patient interview.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training:Successful completion of Ultrasound training program - Education sufficient to meet eligibility requirements to take American Registry of Diagnostic Ultrasonographers (ARDMS) registry examination
• Within 1 year of hire: National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 1 yearof experience as an ultrasound technologist or ultrasound intern
