Job summary

Rutherford Regional Health System, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician to join our on-site lab team in Rutherfordton, NC. This full-time role works weekends and includes a $7,500 sign-on bonus.

The MLT performs routine tests across laboratory sections and reports to the Director of Laboratory Services; direct patient care is not part of this role. We offer comprehensive benefits, tuition assistance, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid time off and wellness programs

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Science is required.
• MLT certification through ASCP or AMT preferred.

• Performs routine laboratory tests in various sections of the laboratory. Reports to the Director of Laboratory Services.
• Patient Populations Served: Does not directly treat or care for patients.
• Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record.
• Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present.
