Veterinary Ultrasound Technologist

Our 24‑hour Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital is seeking a full‑time Veterinary Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. If you’re looking to expand your skill set and work in a fast‑paced environment where every day looks different, we want to work with you!

Schedule and Compensation

• Full‑time
• 4 ten‑hour shifts, typically starting between 7:30 AM and 10:00 AM, inclusive of rotating weekend hours
• Weekends, holidays and some night hours will be required
• Starting at $30 per hour, depending on credentials and experience
• Base Rate: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Overnight Rate: Base Rate + $4.00/hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Weekend Rate: Base Rate + $2.50/hour (Saturday 12:00 AM – Sunday 11:59 PM)

Job Requirements

• 1 year ultrasound experience with nontraditional and adaptive scanning preferred
• Veterinary experience preferred but not required
• Able to interact and communicate professionally between multiple departments
• Able to interact with clients in a manner that supports Avets mission statement
• Remain calm and efficient in a high‑stress environment
• Pursue continuing education opportunities, both independently and those provided by Avets
• Willingness to cross‑train in other areas of the hospital (CT and MRI equipment)
• Schedule will include a portion of the weekend and holiday shifts required by hospital patient load
