A healthcare facility in Lawrenceville is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to operate ultrasound scanning equipment and produce records of designated body areas for adult and geriatric patients. Candidates must be certified or eligible for certification by ARDMS or ARRT and CPR certified within 90 days. Requirements for Ultrasound Technologists

Initial Qualifications

• Certified or eligible for certification by: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), OR American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Sonography (ARRT) (S), OR Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
• All sonographers must obtain certification within twenty-four months of eligibility or cross training.
• Certified in Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or obtain within 90 days of employment.

Continuing Education

Sonographers must be in compliance with the ARDMS, ARDMS, ARRT or CCI requirements for continuing education appropriate to their practices.

PREFERRED

1. Graduate from an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology
2. For specialty areas:

• Cardiology: Registered Cardiovascular Technologist with two (2) years cardiac related experience
• Vascular: Registered Vascular Technologist with two (2) years vascular related experience
• OB/GYN: Registered OB/GYN Technologist with at least two (2) years of OB/GYN related experience
