University Health System- San Antonio seeks an Ultrasound technologist to operate ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic images and guide procedures. The role supports department operations in the absence of senior personnel and upholds the system's protocols and customer service standards.

Candidates must hold ARRT RT-S or ARDMS RVT registry and current BLS for Healthcare Providers. Two years of vascular scanning and five years of general scanning experience are required.

Operates Ultrasound equipment in order to produce high quality, diagnostic images and guided diagnostic and therapeutic invasive procedures to aid in patient diagnosis. Assumes responsibilities for the operation of the department in the absence of senior personnel. Supports and maintains the University Health System's protocols, values, and mission, to include excellent customer service initiatives.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Registry from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Ultrasound (R.T.-S.) or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) to include RVT and hold current Certified BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) from the American Heart Association is required. Must meet clinical ladder criteria. Two years of vascular scanning and five years of general scanning experience are required.
