Job summary

RadNet in Lakewood, CA is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to join our dedicated radiology team. You will perform high-quality ultrasound exams in accordance with department policies, support radiologists during procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout all examinations.

Qualifications

• Graduates must have completed an Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma.
• SP I exam passed or registry eligible preferred.
• Current ARDMS certifications or registry eligible preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in accordance with department policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures.
• Understand ultrasound data generation, theory, and instrument operation.
• Monitor patient well-being during exams and respond to discomfort or problems.
• Safeguard patient data and property, including PHI and on-site medications.
• Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during interactions.
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff and patients.

You Will

• Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in strict accordance with currently approved practices as outlined in department policy and procedure manuals, complying with all applicable federal, state, local and other regulatory requirements.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures if needed.
• Understand the methods used to generate ultrasound data and the theory and operation of the instruments that detect, display, and store the acoustic information generated in clinical examinations.
• Monitor patient's well-being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.

• Applicants must have completed their Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma
• Passed SPI exam
• Current ARDMS certifications or ARDMS Registry Eligible preferred
• Must have BLS certification

Pay Range: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
