Job summary

Providence Swedish OBGYN-Olympia WA is seeking a diagnostic medical sonographer who will perform ultrasound exams under supervision and assist physicians. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and maintain professional standards aligned with Providence's mission and values.

The role requires ARDMS eligibility and BLS certification, with opportunities for career growth within the Providence system.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited Ultrasound training program
• Eligibility to take ARDMS registry examination
• National Certification from ARDMS or National Registered Technologist - Sonography (upon hire)
• American Heart Association BLS certification (upon hire)

Under the general supervision, performs diagnostic medical sonographic exams, assists physician as required, and performs related duties as assigned.

Must present self in a professional manner, work well with a multidisciplinary team, have good communication skills, and adhere to Swedish policies and vision statement.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Successful completion of an accredited Ultrasound training program or


• Education and experience sufficient to meet eligibility requirements to take American Registry of Diagnostic Ultrasonographers (ARDMS) registry examination.


• Upon hire: National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography or National Registered Technologist - Sonography.


• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
