Job summary

HCA Florida Poinciana Hospital is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to provide diagnostic ultrasound services and support in a fast-paced radiology setting. The role involves accurate image acquisition, image relay to physicians for interpretation, and collaboration with staff to manage schedules and inventory.

The ideal candidate will hold an accredited ultrasound program graduation and ARDMS registration (physics and one other registry) with RVT/VS within one year, and must obtain BLS within

Qualifications

  • BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Program or equivalent education.
  • ARDMS registered in physics and one other registry, or ARRT (S) Sonography.
  • ARDMS RVT, or ARRT (VS) Vascular Sonography required within one year.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care for patients requiring Ultrasound procedures.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment and set appropriate technical factors to produce diagnostic quality images.
  • Relay images and pertinent clinical information to the physician for interpretation.
  • Assist with inventory management and patient scheduling.
  • Take on-call as assigned to provide after-hours high volume coverage.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Provides care for patients requiring Ultrasound procedures. Performs all duties directly involved with procedures utilizing Ultrasound for diagnostic and interventional procedures. Operates equipment setting appropriate technical factors to produce diagnostic quality images according to radiology practice standards, and relay images along with pertinent clinical information to the physician for interpretation. Assists with inventory management and patient scheduling. Takes on-call as assigned to provide after-hours high volume coverage.

Qualifications
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Program or equivalent education.
  • Must have ARDMS Registered in physics and one other registry, or ARRT (S) Sonography
  • ARDMS RVT, or ARRT (VS) Vascular Sonography required within one year

HCA Florida Poinciana Hospital is a purpose-guided healthcare provider. We are a four-story, 150,000-square-foot hospital. We have 70 private beds and a six-bed private ICU. We provide a full range of acute care services including emergency services, inpatient and outpatient diagnostic imaging, and inpatient and outpatient surgery. Other services include cardiac catheterization, laboratory, pharmacy, and a full range of support services. Our Emergency Department (ED) is approximately 14,500 square feet. Our ED consists of 22 private treatment rooms, an EMS entrance, and a helicopter pad.
