Position Overview

Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing quality ultrasound exams and assisting in interpreting these exams in the Ultrasound Department. The position requires Board Eligibility upon hire, ARDMS or CCI registration within one year, and BLS certification within 90 days.

Hours & Schedule

Full‑time, 40 hours per week with rotating weekends and holidays.

Compensation

Base salary based on experience, starting at $35.43 per hour with an estimated range of $35.43 to $54.92 per hour and a $10,000 sign‑on bonus.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient history and symptoms relative to the level of study being performed.
• Assist staff physicians as needed.
• Follow proper policy and protocol for procedures as outlined in protocol guides and hospital policy.
• Maintain equipment by routine cleaning and operations checks.
• Perform general ultrasound exams including abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts, breast, and specialty procedures such as biopsy and aspiration.
• Perform vascular examinations, including venous duplex, venous mapping, carotid duplex, and arterial Doppler.
• Prepare written documentation related to the ultrasound exam in an accurate and timely fashion.
• Produce high‑quality ultrasound images and assist in their interpretation.
• Provide training to ensure competency of students.
• Send images for interpretation in accordance with department procedures.
• Serve as a liaison between the hospital and clinical training programs from various schools.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Associate’s Degree (Required).
• Board eligible upon hire.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS or CCI) within one year of hire.
• Registered Vascular Sonographer (ARDMS or CCI) within one year of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
