Job Overview

Performs ultrasound exams at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative. Performs formal and informal instruction when necessary, particularly to students. Maintain a high level of continuing education. Participate in "call".

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Graduate
• Completion of an approved Ultrasound program that meets the requirements set by the RDMS
• 0-1 years of experience as a staff technologist
  
  

Certifications And Licenses Required

• Must be certified by the RDMS or eligible to become certified within six months of employment
  
  

Scheduling Requirements

• Day shift with nights and weekends coverage
• Per Diem
  
  

Essential Functions

• Perform General and Vascular Ultrasound
• Explains all procedures to patients
• Assist Radiologists and Surgeons, as needed
• Review charts, scripts and referrals and orders with all correct pertinent information
• Order supplies, as needed
• Run s Open orders and Charges out incomplete exams daily
