Responsibilities

The Ultrasound Technologist demonstrates competency in performing all ultrasound exams, ensuring proficiency in producing technical and diagnostic scans for interpretation. Responsibilities include positioning patients and equipment, producing appropriate recordings, and processing and transmitting images to PACS.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. RDMS (ARDMS) or S (ARRT) certification in at least one body or region required within 90 days of hire and must be maintained.
2. Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program or current certification as identified in #1, with graduation within 90 days of hire.
3. Previous experience preferred.
4. Current BCLS certification required upon hire and must be maintained.
5. Proficient computer skills.
