Job summary

South Sunflower County Hospital is seeking a part-time Staff Ultrasound Technologist. The candidate must have an associate degree in sonography from a CAAHEP-accredited program and be eligible to sit for the certification exam.

ARDMS or ARRT credential (RDMS or CCI) is required upon hire or within the facility's timeframe. Responsibilities include operating sonographic equipment, observing areas of concern, reporting abnormalities, maintaining equipment, conducting scans, and scheduling

Qualifications

• Postsecondary graduate of an accredited Ultrasound or Radiologic Technology program (required)
• Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Radiologic Technology (preferred)
• (S) ARDMS or ARRT - Sonography or equivalent credential (RDMS or CCI) Upon Hire or within facility-specified timeframe (required)

Responsibilities

• Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concern
• Report to the appropriate medical staff of any abnormalities that require immediate attention
• Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure
• Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results
• Schedule outpatient procedures for Radiology
• Manage several patients and priorities and be able to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
• Work under minimal supervision and cooperate with other team members

Experience

• 1+ years clinical experience in diagnostic ultrasound imaging (preferred)
• Prior experience in a hospital or acute care setting (preferred)
