Job description

Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) PRN

The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic sonographic procedures in accordance with physician orders and radiology standards. This position supports patient care through accurate imaging, collaboration with providers, and adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with physician orders
  • Ensure high-quality imaging for accurate diagnosis
  • Utilize PACS system for imaging documentation and review
  • Explain procedures and prepare patients for examinations
  • Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and clinical staff
  • Assist with scheduling of ultrasound procedures as needed
  • Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
  • Support department operations and assist with inspections as needed
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required
  • ARDMS certification or eligibility preferred
  • RVT and/or cardiac ultrasound certification preferred
  • CPR certification required
Additional Information:

PRN position with variable hours based on department needs. This role averages approximately 6 hours per pay period. Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Employment is at-will.
