Job summary

South Sunflower is seeking a Staff Ultrasound Technologist in Mississippi to perform diagnostic ultrasound imaging, prepare reports, and schedule procedures. The role requires an accredited program completion and ARDMS/ARRT certification.

You will maintain equipment, work with radiology teammates, and priority manage patients in a fast-paced hospital setting while ensuring quality imaging and patient care.

Qualifications

• Postsecondary (Cert/Diploma/Program Grad) graduate of an accredited Ultrasound or Radiologic Technology program (required).
• Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Radiologic Technology (preferred).
• ARDMS or ARRT – Sonography or equivalent credential (RDMS or CCI) upon hire or within facility-specified timeframe (required).
• 1+ years clinical ultrasound imaging experience (preferred).
• Hospital or acute care setting experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concern.
• Report to the appropriate medical staff of any abnormalities that require immediate attention.
• Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure.
• Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results.
• Schedule outpatient procedures for Radiology.
• Manage several patients and priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
• Work under minimal supervision and cooperate with other team members.

Have an associate degree in sonography, from an institution accredited by the CAAHEP, that prepares students to sit for the certification exam.

Staff Ultrasound Technologist Duties:

• Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concern
• Report to the appropriate medical staff of any abnormalities that require immediate attention
• Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure
• Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results
• Schedule outpatient procedures for Radiology
• Manage several patients and priorities and be able to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
• Work under minimal supervision and cooperate with other team members

Requirements

Education:
