Job summary

MarinHealth seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform a wide range of ultrasound examinations under the supervision of the Imaging Services Medical Director. The role requires ARDMS certification, BLS, and at least one year of clinical ultrasound experience, with responsibilities spanning abdominal, breast, OB/Gyn, vascular and specialized guidance procedures.

You will work with radiologists to optimize imaging, participate in quality control, and support clerical and departmental tasks,

Qualifications

• Must hold ARDMS certification and be actively certified.
• 1-year full-time ultrasound experience in a clinical setting.
• Ability to perform ultrasound exams across multiple modalities.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate competence to perform all Ultrasound procedures as outlined in the department policy and procedure manual.
• Communicate openly with the Radiologist to determine optimal Ultrasound imaging as it pertains to the unique needs of the patient.
• Assist the Radiologist with minimally invasive procedures.
• Accurately presents patient studies for interpretation with pertinent history and demographics.
• Participate in daily processor quality control to ensure imaging consistency.
• Communicate equipment issues to management for timely service resolution.
• Use universal precautions in all patient contacts.
• Interface with the Radiology Information System to accurately represent procedure data.
• Interact positively with co-workers and physicians.
• Assist with clerical support functions as needed to process patient studies.
• Other duties as assigned, including quality assurance and department meetings.
