Frankfort Regional Medical Center is seeking an Ultrasound Technician to perform diverse imaging procedures, interpret and document results, and support quality patient care in a diagnostic setting.

The ideal candidate is graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program and holds RDMS/ARRT-S/RVT/RVS credentials with current BLS. The hospital offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• RDMS or ARRT-S or RVT or RVS certification.
• BLS obtained within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging procedures ordered by the physician.
• Ensure quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment.
• Demonstrate ability to perform surgery and portable exams.
• Follow physician orders, document completion in Meditech, verify images in PACS.
• Follow quality controls and HLD related to equipment.
• Document patient history including lab values.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The ultrasound technologist is responsible for performing a variety of complex specialized technical tasks utilizing high frequency ultrasound waves to assist with the detection of anatomical abnormalities.

What you will do in this role:

• You will be responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures ordered by the physician.??
• You will be responsible for day-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment.
• You will demonstrate the ability to perform surgery and portable exams.
• You will accurately follow physician orders, document the completion of the exam in Meditech, scans document and verify images in PACS.
• You will follow proper procedures for quality controls and HLD related to equipment and accessories.
• You will demonstrate proper documentation concerning the patient’s history, including lab values.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
• (RDMS) Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or (ARRT-S) Sonography, or (RVT) Registered Vascular Technician, or (RVS) Registered Vascular Specialist
• BLS acquired within 30 days of employment
