Job summary

Starr Regional Medical Center in Athens, TN is seeking an Ultrasound Technician to perform abdominal, OB, vascular and other specialty ultrasound studies for radiologist interpretation. The role involves maintaining equipment and coordination with the Radiology team.

Candidates should have a Diagnostic Medical Sonography background and ARRT/DMS certification; BLS within 30 days is required and one year of experience is preferred for this position.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or School of Radiology required.
• Graduate of an accredited DMS program or ARRT/DMS certification required.
• One year of diagnostic medical sonography preferred.
• BLS required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality ultrasound studies including abdominal, OB, vascular, neonatal, pelvic, breast and small parts exams for radiologist interpretation.
• Maintain appropriate files, supplies and equipment.
• Report to the Ultrasound Supervisor and/or Radiology Director.
