Job summary

Asante in Grants Pass, Oregon, is seeking an Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer for a 0.8 FTE, part-time, first shift—days. The position offers a competitive hourly salary with shift differentials and a strong imaging program leadership.

The Ultrasound Tech will perform specialized ultrasound procedures, assist in diagnosis, and work under a board-certified radiologist. Licensure through OBMI and ARDMS/ARRT is required within stated timelines.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited imaging program.
• BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider through the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start.
• ARDMS or ARRT registry in Abdomen and/or OB/Gyn OR ARDMS/S registry in Sonography within 6 months of hire.
• Oregon OBMI license in Sonography required; OBMI temporary license acceptable with 6-month license/registry target.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound procedures and assist physicians in patient diagnosis.
• Support variety of ultrasound-guided procedures and procedures requiring imaging guidance.
• Maintain high standards of patient care and imaging quality under radiologist supervision.

SalaryRange:$39.51 - $54.33

Shift Differentials:

• $2.02 extra for working between 3:00pm - 11:00pm
• $4.50 extra for working between 11:01pm and 7:00am
• $1.87 extra for working weekends

Position Description

Asante's imaging experts go above and beyond. All our technicians are highly trained, exceeding state requirements with advanced certifications in MRI, CT, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and bone density scanning. Our imaging program is supervised by a board-certified radiologist who works directly with technicians at the hospital to interpret test results and offer guidance on complex cases.

The Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer performs a variety of specialized ultrasonic procedures while assisting physicians in patient diagnosis and various ultrasound-guided surgical procedures.

Position Qualifications

Education

• Completion of an accredited imaging program

Licensure/Certifications

• BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified through the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start
• ARDMS or ARRT: American Registry Diagnostic Medical Sonographer registry in either specialties of Abdomen (Abd) and/or Obstetrics/Gynecology (OB/Gyn) - OR - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists registry in Sonography (S) within 6 months of hire
• Permanent Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) license in Sonography is required
• OBMI temporary license is acceptable for new hires. Permanent OBMI license and appropriate registry must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Licensure/Certifications

• Additional registries from either the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography, the Cardiovascular Credentialing International, or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
