Job summary

Jefferson Radiology, a Radiology Partners practice in Connecticut, is seeking an ultrasound technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams in an outpatient setting. You will assist radiologists, educate patients, and ensure safety and infection control throughout procedures.

The role requires ARDMS registry and CPR certification. You will contribute to image quality, RIS/PACS documentation, and collaboration with a multi-center radiology network, with competitive compensation and total

• Current certification in CPR recognized by the American Heart Association.
• Current registry by ARDMS (or registry-eligible and obtain within one year).
• Must be registered through ARDMS with AB, OB/GYN and RVT.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality ultrasound exams and assist radiologists with image-guided procedures.
• Prepare, position, and educate patients while ensuring safety and infection control standards.
• Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and document exams in RIS/PACS.
• Coordinate patient care by reviewing referrals, ordering labs, communicating results, and supporting scheduling.
• Maintain equipment, quality assurance, and assist with inventory and training of new staff.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality ultrasound exams and assist radiologists with image-guided procedures.
• Prepare, position, and educate patients while ensuring safety and infection control standards.
• Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and accurately document exams in RIS/PACS.
• Coordinate patient care by reviewing referrals, ordering labs, communicating results, and supporting scheduling.
• Maintain equipment, quality assurance, ACR accreditation standards, inventory, and train new staff as needed.

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) recognized by the American Heart Association
• Current registry by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) (or must be registry-eligible and obtain registry within one year of employment in technologist position)
• Must be registered through ARDMS with AB, OB/GYN and RVT (Practice and State Specific)

The hourly range for this position is$ 33 .00-$ 4 9 .00. Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications,geographic locationetc. Final compensation is determined based on education, experience, certifications, and geographic factors.
