Job summary

A leading healthcare provider is seeking an Ultrasound Tech - PRN to operate ultrasound equipment and perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams. Candidates must graduate from an accredited program and be committed to becoming registered within six months of employment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a medical sonography program or equivalent experience.
• Must become registered by ARDMS within 6 months.
• Preferred: 1 year experience, registered ARDMS/RVS/RVT.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices.
• Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment.
• Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology.
• Provides patient care to all age groups, including neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
• Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an AMA-approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or equivalent experience as per Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC).
• Minimum experience: None required.
• Must become registered by ARDMS within 6 months of employment. Vascular Sonographers must become registered and/or RVT, RVS, RT(S), RT(VS) within 6 months.
• Additional certifications such as BLS are required.
• Preferred: 1 year of experience, registered ARDMS and/or RVS/RVT.
