Premier Health Partners is seeking an Ultrasound Tech for the Ultrasound Department at Atrium Medical Center in Middletown, OH. This weekend-day, part-time role performs diagnostic ultrasound and interventional procedures according to established protocols and maintains equipment.

The position requires an accredited Associate degree in Allied Health/Sonography, ARDMS/ARRT RVT or RVS credentials (or two of the specialties) and BLS within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Associate degree program in Allied Health or Sonography.
• ARDMS/ARRT RVT or RVS certification required; credentials in Abdomen, OB/GYN, MSK, or Breast.
• BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire; either ARDMS/ARRT credentials or two of the listed specialties.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-directed interventional procedures.
• Coordinates patient flow and activities of the Ultrasound Department.
• Exercises professional judgment to maintain equipment and may perform procedures in other imaging modalities as needed.
• May have on-call responsibilities.

Independently performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures and ultrasound directed interventional procedures utilizing proper techniques and protocols. Works under their scope of practice and in accordance with registry in the operation of equipment. Coordinates patient flow and the activities of the Ultrasound Department. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of duties in order to maintain equipment in good working condition. May perform procedures in other imaging modalities based on departmental needs. May have on call responsibilities.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Graduation from an accredited Associate degree program in Allied Health/Sonography

Registry And Certification Required

• RVT (ARDMS-American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) or RVS (Cardiac Credentialing Institute)
• One of the following (ARDMS/ARRT): Abdomen, OB/GYN, MSK, Breast
• AHA or American Red Cross BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire

OR

• Two of the following (ARDMS/ARRT): Abdomen, OB/GYN, MSK, Breast
• RVT (ARDMS-American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) or RVS (Cardiac Credentialing Institute) within 6 months of hire
• AHA or American Red Cross BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire.
