Job summary

Premier Health Partners seeks a diagnostic ultrasound technologist to independently perform ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-guided interventional procedures, following established protocols. The role requires ARDMS or ARRT RVT certification, an associate degree in Ultrasonography or Allied Health, CPR within 30 days, and potential on-call duties.

Candidates should have knowledge of EMR, RIS, and image storage, and ideally 2 years of ultrasound experience; based in Troy, Ohio; on-site work

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Ultrasonography or related Allied Health field.
• ARDMS or ARRT RVT certification required.
• Vascular registry required at hire or within 6 months at select locations.
• CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Preferred: 2 years of ultrasound experience.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-directed interventional procedures.
• Coordinates patient flow and department activities for Ultrasound.
• Exercises professional judgment to maintain equipment in good working condition.
• May perform procedures in other imaging modalities based on department needs; may have on-call responsibilities.

Job description

Independently performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures and ultrasound directed interventional procedures utilizing
proper techniques and protocols. Works under their scope of practice and in accordance with registry in the
operation of equipment. Coordinates patient flow and the activities of the Ultrasound Department. Exercises
professional judgment in the performance of duties in order to maintain equipment in good working condition. May
perform procedures in other imaging modalities based on departmental needs. May have on call responsibilities.

• Preferred educational qualifications: Associate degree or graduate of an accredited program

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Credentialed in Ultrasound technology by one of the following (required):
• American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
• Sonographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Vascular Credentialed by one of the following (required):
• ARDMS- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
• CCI (RVS), Cardiovascular Credentialing International, Registered Vascular Specialist
• Vascular registry is required at time of hire except at the following locations, where it must be obtained no later than 6 months after hire, AMC, MVH, MVHS, MVHN, and UVMC main campuses.

• Minimum of one additional registry in practiced specialties are required as approved by ARDMS: Abdomen, OB/GYN, MSK, Breast or Vascular

• CPR Certification required within 30 days of hire
