Job summary

System Support in Ohio is seeking an ultrasound technologist to independently perform diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound-directed interventional procedures, following proper techniques and registry guidelines.

You will coordinate patient flow, ensure equipment is well maintained, and may assist with other imaging modalities as needed; CPR certification is required within 30 days of hire and ARDMS/ARRT credentials are required for employment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Ultrasonography or Allied Health.
• ARDMS or ARRT certification required.
• Vascular RVT or RVS credential required.
• CPR certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures with appropriate protocols.
• Conduct ultrasound-directed interventional procedures as needed.
• Coordinate patient flow and activities within the Ultrasound Department.
• Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment to ensure readiness.
• May perform procedures in other imaging modalities as required.

Independently performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures and ultrasound directed interventional procedures utilizing proper techniques and protocols. Works under their scope of practice and in accordance with registry in the operation of equipment. Coordinates patient flow and the activities of the Ultrasound Department. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of duties in order to maintain equipment in good working condition. May perform procedures in other imaging modalities based on departmental needs. May have on call responsibilities.

• Preferred educational qualifications: Associate degree or graduate of an accredited program
• Position specific testing requirement: N/A

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Credentialed in Ultrasound technology by one of the following (required):
  • American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
  • Sonographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Vascular Credentialed by one of the following (required):
  • ARDMS- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
  • CCI (RVS), Cardiovascular Credentialing International, Registered Vascular Specialist
• Vascular registry is required at time of hire except at the following locations, where i t must be obtained no later than 6 months after hire, AMC, MVH, MVHS, MVHN, and UVMC main campuses.
• Minimum of one additional registry in practiced specialties are required as approved by ARDMS: Abdomen, OB/GYN, MSK, Breast or Vascular
• CPR Certification required within 30 days of hire
