Job summary

CommonSpirit Health in Oxnard, CA seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform detailed sonographic imaging, including obstetric and abdominal studies, while ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.

You will operate advanced equipment, adjust settings for optimal images, and communicate results to physicians, delivering high-quality diagnostic support for prenatal and other care needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a CAAHEP accredited Sonography program.
• Must have ARDMS CEUs current.
• Recent hands-on scanning experience within last 6 months.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) current.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification.
• RDMS Breast/OB-GYN, Neurosonology, Pediatric Sono, Cardiac RDMS variants as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Transfers and positions patients.
• Performs ultrasound procedures per department standards and physician orders.
• Applies ultrasound protocols and keeps up to date with new techniques.
• Interviews patients for history and obtains consents as required.
• Uses sterile technique to prevent cross-contamination.
• Orders and maintains supplies in the assigned area.
