Job summary

Advocate Health's ultrasound department is seeking a sonographer for a full-time night shift (11pm–7am) with rotating weekends/holidays. The role requires ARDMS registration, CPR certification, and 1–2 years of experience in diagnostic sonography. Expect patient education, quality exams, and strong teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

You will ensure accurate scheduling, maintain equipment safety, and contribute to CQI while supporting a diverse patient population through compassionate care.

Qualifications

• ARDMS Registered required.
• CPR certification required.
• Graduate of an approved School of sonography or on‑the‑job training with 1–2 years of staff sonographer experience.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality sonograms.
• Ensure safety and proper operation of ultrasound equipment.
• Verify physician orders and document data in hospital systems.
• Educate patients before, during and after exams.
• Address patient needs and participate in CQI efforts.
