Hancock County Health System in Iowa is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to provide ultrasound services per provider orders in a hospital setting. You will assist in scheduling and complete Ultrasound/Vascular procedures as described in the policy and procedure manual, and coordinate procedures with the radiologist and interpreting physicians.
The role requires ARDMS board registration in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, certification in Abdomen/OB/Breast/Vascular (or willingness to obtain), and
Provide ultrasound services per provider order in the hospital. Assists in the scheduling and completes all Ultrasound/Vascular procedures as described in the policy and procedure manual; assists in the coordination of procedures with the radiologist and interpreting physicians.
Full or Part Time hours available, Monday - Friday
Certifications and Permits to Practice in Iowa must be provided. Must be board registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. Must hold certifications in Abdomen, OB, Breast and Vascular or willing to seek needed certifications. Good computer, written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Sonographer must be able to routinely lift 10-50 lbs, carry 10-50 lbs, and reach at, above and below the shoulder. Sonographer should be able to occasionally lift and/or carry above 50lbs. Sonographer will also be required to pass Physical Capacity Exam.
