Job summary

Qualifications

• AR DMS certification or eligible for ARDMS certification.
• Completion of formal ultrasound technology training per ARDMS requirements.
• 1–2 years of ultrasound and vascular tech experience under physician supervision.

Responsibilities

• Performs billing and charging using computer systems.
• Follows proper protocol and paperwork for servicing malfunctioning equipment.
• Inputs exam charges; obtains patient history for each examination.
• Documents exam information clearly for medical staff using worksheets/reports.
• Explains the ultrasound process to each patient prior to the exam.
• Verifies patient identification with armband before procedures.
• Operates equipment; handles phones, faxes, and copying as needed.
• Performs other related tasks as assigned.
