Aspirus St. Luke's Clinic in Duluth, MN is seeking a qualified Ultrasound Technologist to join the OB-GYN clinic team. The role performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures, maintains QA records, and operates real-time ultrasound equipment under physician supervision.

The successful candidate will have a two-year radiologic/ultrasound program, ARRT/ARDMS certification within stated timelines, and BLS; NTQR certification is preferred within six months. This position offers day shifts and benefits.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a two (2) year radiologic technology program or graduate of an ultrasound technology program.
  • ARRT Sonography or ARDMS registration within 90 days of hire (or 20 months if non-accredited program).
  • BLS Certification within 90 days with BLS designation from AHA/Red Cross or Military Training Network.
  • Experience: preferred six months in ultrasound settings.

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures and related quality controls.
  • Maintains required quality assurance records for ultrasound services.
  • Operates real-time ultrasound equipment and communicates impressions to physicians; assists with records and inventory.

ASPIRUS ST. LUKE'S CLINIC in Duluth, MN is seeking an ULTRASOUND TECH-CLINICS to join our OB-GYN CLINIC team!

Job Details
  • Salary Range: $32.18 - $46.66 Hourly
  • Schedule/Hours: DAY ONLY, 8 hours
  • Weekend Requirement: Generally No Weekends
  • FTE: OCCASIONAL, 0.001 FTE

The Ultrasound Technologist, working under the administrative direction of the Clinic Manager and the technical direction of the Physicians, performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including related quality controls. Maintains related quality assurance records required for ultrasound services. Operates real time ultrasound equipment and communicates technical impressions to Physicians and assists with records and inventory management. Performs functions as assigned by Clinic Manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: Graduate of a two (2) year radiologic technology program or graduate of an ultrasound technology program. Education may be offset with at least five (5) years directly related ultrasound or sonography experience.

  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: Registered Radiologic Technologist Sonography from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) OR Registered Ultrasound Technologist from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) within ninety (90) days of hire or, if graduate of a non-accredited program, within twenty (20) months of date of hire. Within ninety (90) days of hire, BLS Certification with a designation of either BLS Provider or Healthcare Provider from either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, or Military Training Network.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: N/A
  • Experience: Six (6) months previous experience preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: Nuchal Translucency (NTQR) certification within six (6) months of hire.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Maintain competency in Diagnostic Ultrasound Techniques; able to function well in stressful situations; coordinating patient exams for efficient completion; working knowledge of preps for ultrasound exams. Knowledge of customer relations principles, to exercise good judgment, accept personal responsibility and carry out assigned tasks. Ability to establish and maintain harmonious and cooperative working relationships with other people, both in person and on the telephone. Ability to effectively communicate with Physicians, patients and support staff. Ability to write legibly, see, hear, read and speak English. Computer keyboarding skills.

  • READING - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • WRITING - Intermediate: Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, or procedures.
  • SPEAKING - Intermediate: Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group situations or before groups of customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Basic Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • REASONING ABILITY - Intermediate Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • AGE SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES - Skilled at assessment and knowledgeable of growth and development. Provides appropriate care respective to the ages of the patients served per clinical environment.
