Job summary

Martin's Point Health Care is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to efficiently operate ultrasound equipment, perform diagnostic exams, and communicate results to physicians. The role emphasizes patient safety, ethical standards, and ongoing competency in imaging procedures.

The successful candidate will have formal Sonography training, ARDMS certification, and at least 3 years of ultrasound experience, with breast imaging experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.
• ARDMS-certified in specialty areas.
• Minimum of 3 years of ultrasound experience; breast imaging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic Ultrasound examinations.
• Uses cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures based on anatomy, pathology, and imaging.
• Analyzes sonograms and communicates findings to the physician.
• Maintains ultrasound equipment and work area; completes exam billing forms and QA tasks.
