Qualifications

• Experience performing diagnostic ultrasound exams and able to follow physician orders.
• Proficient in obstetric/gynecologic and abdominal imaging.
• Able to educate patients and ensure comfort and safety during procedures.
• Knowledge of PACS/EMR reporting and documentation.
• Committed to HIPAA compliance, infection control, and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Prepare, position, and educate patients to ensure comfort, safety, and understanding of the procedure.
• Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment to obtain optimal images and recognize significant findings in real time.
• Document exams accurately in PACS and EMR with complete and timely reporting.
• Collaborate with radiologists and referring providers to communicate pertinent clinical information and support diagnostic decision-making.
• Maintain infection control, patient safety, and HIPAA privacy standards.
• Perform routine equipment quality control checks and report malfunctions or service needs promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe imaging environment for patients and staff.
• Participate in ongoing education, competency assessments, and quality-improvement initiatives.
