Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• ARDMS certification or equivalent national credential.
• New Mexico State Ultrasound/Medical Imaging License required.
• Current CPR certification required or enrollment in the next available class.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations as ordered by physicians.
• Operate stationary and mobile sonography equipment.
• Position and transfer patients safely while ensuring comfort and dignity.
• Explain procedures to patients and address questions or concerns.
• Select appropriate transducers and imaging techniques.
• Assist physicians with ultrasound-guided procedures as needed.
• Transfer images to PACS and complete all exam documentation.
• Maintain ultrasound rooms and equipment in clean, safe working condition.
• Maintain accurate patient logs and records.
• Follow sterile technique and infection control standards.
• Participate in supply inventory management.
• Maintain CPR certification and participate in continuing education.
• Provide excellent customer service and patient-centered care.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with hospital and departmental policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Radiology and/or Administration

Cibola General Hospital is hiring**

We're seeking an Ultrasound Technician to join our team of compassionate caregivers.

Our 25-bed critical access hospital allows our compassionate caregivers to provide excellent patient care in an environment that supports them in their professional growth and development with the latest technologies. Cibola General Hospital is one hour from Albuquerque and close to Santa Fe. Known for its mild year-round climate and outdoor activities, Grants NM offers low property taxes and inexpensive housing costs.

Cibola General Hospital provides services in general surgery, 24-hour Emergency care, Intensive Care, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics, Pathology, Pediatric Dentistry, Podiatry, Primary Care and Radiology with X-ray, CT, MRI. We have three operating rooms including a room for scopes. Clinics, Lab services, Pharmacy, Cardiopulmonary, and Rehab, and skilled care beds are provided.

Compensation & Incentives

• Salary Range: $60,000 - $90,000 (based on experience)
• Sign-On Bonus: $15,000
• Housing: Negotiable

Schedule

• 3 twelve-hour day shifts or 4 ten-hour day shifts
• Days to be determined or negotiable
• After-hours call: 2 nights a week and every 3rd weekend for emergency cases only
