Job summary

Cibola General Hospital in Grants, NM is seeking a PACU RN to join our team of caregivers. The hospital provides a 25-bed critical access setting with a broad range of services and supportive environment for professional growth.

The PACU RN will prepare patients for surgery, review histories, monitor vitals, manage pain, and educate patients about postoperative care. ACLS is required; PALS and NRP are preferred. Full-time and part-time positions available, with 8-hour day shifts (0615–1445).

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensure: Current, temporary, or compact license to practice nursing in New Mexico.
• Participation in continuing education to maintain current license.

We’re seeking a PACU RN to join our team of compassionate caregivers.

Our 25-bed critical access hospital allows our compassionate caregivers to provide excellent patient care in an environment that supports them in their professional growth and development. Cibola General Hospital is one hour from Albuquerque and close to Santa Fe. Known for its mild year-round climate and outdoor activities, Grants NM offers low property taxes and inexpensive housing costs.

Cibola General Hospital provides services in general surgery, 24-hour Emergency care, Intensive Care, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics, Pathology, Pediatric Dentistry, Podiatry, Primary Care and Radiology with X-ray, CT, MRI. We have three operating rooms including a room for scopes. Clinics, Lab services, Pharmacy, Cardiopulmonary, and Rehab.

Job Summary

PACU RN will be responsible for preparing patients for Surgery, duties include reviewing medical histories, physical assessments and ensuring necessary tests and procedures are completed. Educating patients about the surgical process, addressing concerns or questions, providing emotional support.

PACU RN will closely monitor vital signs, manage pain, administer medications and provide wound care, assist with mobility, ensure proper nutrition and hydration. Educate patients on postoperative care, monitor patients for complications or adverse reactions, and collaborate with healthcare team to ensure a smooth recovery process. Certifications needed – ACLS is required, PALS and NRP are preferred. Full Time and Part Time positions available.

Schedule is 8-hour DAYS - M-F (0615-1445).

Education/Licensure Requirements

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Licensure: Current, temporary, or compact license to practice nursing in New Mexico. Must have a current CPR card or be enrolled in the next available class.

Professional Experience

Participation in continuing education programs to maintain current license.

Conditions Of Employment

• Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check, reference checks and a post-offer drug screen.
• Must be employment eligible as verified by the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) and the Government Services Administration (GSA).
• Tuberculin screening required annually
