ImageCare Radiology is seeking a Full-Time Ultrasound Technologist for our Fair Lawn and Wayne locations. The role performs general, vascular, and breast ultrasound exams, ensuring accurate images and timely reports.

Candidates must have an RDMS license and BLS certification, plus at least one year of hospital or independent work experience. Will report to the Radiology department and participate in orientation at Mount Olive.

Qualifications

• Registered Sonographer RDMS certification is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience with ultrasound exams across multiple areas is preferred.

Responsabilités

ImageCare is seeking a Full-Time Ultrasound Technologist for our Fair Lawn and Wayne location. All new hires are required to attend first-day orientation at our Mount Olive office before reporting to their assigned work location or training site.

The Schedule we are looking to fill:

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

Performs US procedures for referring physicians of a quality that aids in the diagnosis of the patient.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform ultrasound diagnostic procedures/ examinations on patients of all ages including the administration of contrast material as assigned in accordance with established guidelines in a manner that ensures an accurate and complete examination and treatment providing the highest patient care.
• Order supplies for ultrasound tests.
• Address patients’ needs and questionsas they arise in a professional and courteous manner.
• Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
• Always verify patient with exam order and study to be performed prior to placing patient on the scanning table.
• Organize and document all aspects of assigned patient care in coordination with referring physician and the radiologist to ensure accurate and timely performance of procedures.
• Knowledge of scheduling procedures for US
• Maintenance and organization of patient film file records in our EMR and on site as needed.
• Handling patient priors as needed.
• Checking and verifying exam with EMR order vs Rx
• Verifying images, notes, authorization number if pertinent to patient exams.
• Verifying Physician study routing preferences.
• Scan in patient paperwork and verify exams in PACS with all necessary information for Radiologist to read exam.
• Maintain continuing education units as required to ensure ARRT certification.
• Maintain clean and stocked work area.
• Maintain HIPAA practices and HIPAA training.

Candidates must be able to perform ALL Ultrasound exams including:

• General Ultrasound and Ob/Gyn
• Vascular
• Breast Ultrasound

Requirements:

• At least one year working at a hospital experience or working independently is preferred.
• Basic vascular knowledge (venous doppler and carotids) and breast ultrasound experience is a plus.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer License (Required)
• BLS Certification (Required)
