ImageCare Radiology is seeking a Per Diem Ultrasound Technologist for our Brems location in New Jersey. You will perform ultrasound procedures including breast/OB-GYN/vascular, work per diem, and join a patient-focused imaging team.

Requirements include RDMS license and BLS certification, with 1+ year hospital or private practice experience preferred. Travel to Mount Olive orientation and ongoing site trainings may be required.

Qualifications

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer license is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• 1+ year hospital or independent work experience preferred.

ImageCare is seeking an experienced Per Diem Ultrasound Technologist for our Brems location. All new hires are required to attend first-day orientation at our Mount Olive office before reporting to their assigned work location or training site. We are looking for at least 1-2 years' experience with strong breast/general skills.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

Performs US procedures for referring physicians of a quality that aids in the diagnosis of the patient.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform ultrasound diagnostic procedures/ examinations on patients of all ages including the administration of contrast material as assigned in accordance with established guidelines in a manner that ensures an accurate and complete examination and treatment providing the highest patient care.
• Order supplies for ultrasound tests.
• Address patients’ needs and questionsas they arise in a professional and courteous manner.
• Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
• Always verify patient with exam order and study to be performed prior to placing patient on the scanning table.
• Organize and document all aspects of assigned patient care in coordination with referring physician and the radiologist to ensure accurate and timely performance of procedures.
• Knowledge of scheduling procedures for US
• Maintenance and organization of patient film file records in our EMR and on site as needed.
• Handling patient priors as needed.
• Checking and verifying exam with EMR order vs Rx
• Verifying images, notes, authorization number if pertinent to patient exams.
• Verifying Physician study routing preferences.
• Scan in patient paperwork and verify exams in PACS with all necessary information for Radiologist to read exam.
• Maintain continuing education units as required to ensure ARRT certification.
• Maintain clean and stocked work area.
• Maintain HIPAA practices and HIPAA training.

Candidates must be able to perform ALL Ultrasound exams including:

• General Ultrasound and Ob/Gyn
• Vascular
• Breast Ultrasound

Requirements:

• At least one year working at a hospital experience or working independently is preferred.
• Basic vascular knowledge (venous doppler and carotids) and breast ultrasound experience is a plus.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer License (Required)
• BLS Certification (Required)
