Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking an Ultrasound Supervisor to oversee the Ultrasound section's daily operations and ensure compliance with all policies and accrediting standards. You will support Radiology managers and physicians to maintain high clinical and service performance while mentoring staff and coordinating cross-training programs.

The role requires ARDMS in Ultrasonography, leadership experience, and a strong focus on patient care and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• ARDMS registered in Ultrasonography.
• OB/GYN, abdomen/small parts, and Neurosonography registries preferred.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire.
• Vascular registry required within one year.
• Must pass OB/GYN registry within 6 months.
• Three years relevant ultrasound experience.
• One to two years supervisory experience preferred.
• One year pediatric ultrasound experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in healthcare related field preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Outpatient Medical Imaging Centers Ultrasound operations.
• Allocate time between Ultrasound departments as directed.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and accreditation.
• Assist in budgeting and cost-control.
• Oversee scheduling and patient imaging.
• Provide staff supervision and annual competency.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to improve service.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities.
• Support student supervision and cross-training.
