Job Description:Ultrasound Technologist in TrainingLocation: Intermountain HealthShift: VariedStatus: PRN, As NeededCompensation: $32.34 per hourJob DescriptionThe Ultrasound Technologist in Training position is an on-the-job training opportunity for a current Ultrasound Student that will be completing their program and sitting for the boards within 4 months of starting this role. This role provides hands-on clinical experience while developing the knowledge, technical skills, and patient care expertise necessary to become a skilled Ultrasound Technologist.Working under established department guidelines, the incumbent performs high-quality imaging procedures, develops independent decision-making and problem-solving skills, and gains proficiency in all aspects of patient care and imaging operations. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items.
