The position requires ARRT Mammography certification, state radiologic license, BLS, and prior experience in mammography and breast ultrasound.

Responsibilities

• Operate mammography and ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality breast images.
• Perform breast imaging exams including stereotactic biopsies, ultrasound core biopsies, clip placements, drainages.
• Ensure correct patient identification and orders verification; prep patient for exams.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe work environment.
• Provide patient education and comfort, address concerns.
• Complete documentation of procedures and any adverse reactions; follow QC and reporting protocols.

Job Description:The Mammography Technologist and Breast Sonographer is responsible for performing screening and diagnostic mammography exams, breast ultrasounds, and biopsies and procedures on patients using specialized equipment. This position works closely with radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and high-quality imaging results.
