Job summary

The role requires graduate of an accredited Ultrasonography Program, ARDMS certification, and ongoing CME credits, with at least three years' vascular experience. The position emphasizes quality control, infection control, and dependable attendance in a busy imaging department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasonography Program.
• Certification with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Maintain licensure by completing CME credits on a regular basis (30 ultrasound CME credits every 3 years).

Responsibilities

• Performs all Ultrasound procedures.
• If in a float position, must be available to work at any Imaging locations.
• Adheres to Ultrasound quality control standards.
• Management of Imaging records.
• Triage patients to ensure productive departmental flow.
• Record health history of patients; note abnormal conditions for physician; prepare patients for exams and procedures.
• Maintain adequate stock levels of supplies.
• Set up and stock exam rooms for daily use; keep rooms and equipment clean between procedures.
• Follow clinic policies for infection control in handling and disposing of infectious/hazardous waste materials.
• Adhere to Quality Control Guidelines.
• Adhere to Service Standards.
• Perform other tasks as needed.
• Must have predictable and consistent attendance
