Job summary

Onslow Memorial Hospital Inc. in Jacksonville, NC seeks a certified ultrasound technologist to perform ultrasound imaging across abdomen, obstetrics/gynecology, small parts, neuro and neonatal head exams.

The role requires understanding anatomy for interpretation, professional judgment, and readiness for on-call as needed. The candidate must have RDMS or ARRT eligibility with ultrasound experience, obtain certification within 24 months of hire, and hold BLS certification.

Qualifications

• RDMS or ARRT eligibility with ultrasound experience.
• If eligible, must apply for certification testing within 12 months of employment; certification must be attained within 24 months of hire.
• BLS Required.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound imaging in abdomen, OB/GYN, small parts, neuro and neonatal heads.
• Demonstrates anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention by, or at the request of, a licensed practitioner.
• Exercises professional judgement in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics.
• Available for call as requested.
• Applies appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
