Job summary

The ideal candidate has training from an accredited ultrasonography program, is ARDMS registered or registry-eligible, and can work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Ultrasonography.
• Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
• MFM experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound exams based on abdominal, pelvic, small parts, heart and routine vascular physiology and disease.
• Records images and completes required worksheets for the interpreting Radiologist.
• Adheres to ALARA principles to minimize radiation dose while achieving diagnostic quality.
• Ensures patient comfort, explains procedures, and maintains safety protocols.
• Takes ultrasound calls according to monthly schedule when needed.
