Job summary

Stanford Health Care is seeking an Ultrasound Imaging Specialist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures and assist radiologists in interpretation. You will prepare patients, operate ultrasound equipment, and ensure image quality while maintaining safety and HIPAA compliance.

The role requires completion of a 2-year ultrasound program, and experience with Epic, SECTRA PACS, and PACSGear is preferred. Strong patient-care and communication skills are essential for excellent service.

Qualifications

• Completion of a two (2) year accredited program in Ultrasound.
• Superior patient care and communication skills to explain procedures and reduce anxiety.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions and memos.

Responsibilities

• Performs specialized and routine diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Prepares and positions patient for imaging procedures.
• Acquires, processes and reviews images for radiologist interpretation.
• Maintains safety, HIPAA compliance and infection control.
