Job summary

UVA Community Health seeks a Sonographer to support radiology by obtaining high-quality ultrasound images and delivering excellent patient care across UVA Health’s community settings.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, an Associate’s Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred, ARDMS/ARRT certification within the first year, and at least 1 year of experience. On-call duties and travel between campus sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred.
• Experience: 1 year experience in sonography preferred; see Life Support Training Policy for details.
• Licensure: ARDMS certified within first year of employment required.

Responsibilities

• Work with radiologists to obtain high quality ultrasound images and provide exceptional patient care.
• May be required to perform additional duties as assigned and travel between campus facilities as needed.
