Qualifications

  • Education/experience per DoD qualification: Master’s degree or 2 years graduate education in radiology/radiography.
  • Specialized Experience: operating a digital ultrasound system and assisting radiologist.
  • U.S. citizenship required for federal service.
  • Credentialing: radiology certification meeting 42 CFR Part 75 requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor patient vital signs and notify radiologist of significant changes.
  • Assist radiologists and higher grade technologists in complex procedures.
  • Observe and report patient responses to instructions, movement or touch.
  • Perform operator-level maintenance of ultrasound equipment and transducers.
  • Enter data and maintain records of radiologic and ultrasonographic studies.
  • Review and recommend improvements in the section to supervisor.

Education

Master's degree or equivalent in radiology/radiography
2 years of progressively higher level graduate education in related field
